چکیده

Background: There is a well-documented cross-talk between the gut and brain. Evidence accumulating to suggest beneficial effects of psychobiotics [prebiotics, probiotics or synbiotics] on psychological distress in disease states. However, their role healthy status remains relatively unclear. Objectives: The present study was aimed clarify if could influence behavioral responses physiological stress rats. Methods: In experiment, 28 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups (healthy treated by Lactobacillus plantarum (L.plantarum), inulin combination (synbiotic) control group). Then, administered intervention for 8 weeks. Behavioral tests (Morris water maze, Elevated plus Forced swimming test) performed at endpoint. serum brain levels superoxide dismutase, malondialdehyde, glutathione peroxidase, total antioxidant capacity, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), serotonin measured. Results: Our finding indicated that unlike inulin, administration L.plantarum synbiotic ameliorate depression anxiety-like behavior cognitive performance (P<0.05). Serum oxidative markers significantly improved consumption. Intake led decreased hippocampus amygdala Moreover, significant increase hippocampal BDNF concentration observed after intake addition, there strong correlation with (P< 0.05). Conclusion: suggests therapy may have favorable amelioration disorders.

Can intradermal administration of angiotensin II influence human heat loss responses during whole body heat stress?

It is unclear if angiotensin II, which can increase the production of reactive oxygen species (oxidative stress), modulates heat loss responses of cutaneous blood flow and sweating. We tested the hypothesis that angiotensin II-induced increases in oxidative stress impair cutaneous perfusion and sweating during rest and exercise in the heat. Eleven young (24 ± 4 yr) healthy adults performed two ...

Greater Physiological and Behavioral Effects of Interrupted Stress Pattern Compared to Daily Restraint Stress in Rats

Repeated stress can trigger a range of psychiatric disorders, including anxiety. The propensity to develop abnormal behaviors after repeated stress is related to the severity, frequency and number of stressors. However, the pattern of stress exposure may contribute to the impact of stress. In addition, the anxiogenic nature of repeated stress exposure can be moderated by the degree of coping th...

Effects of neonatal administration of vasopressin on cardiac and behavioral responses to emotional stress in adult male rats.

Arginine-8-vasopressin (AVP) was administered subcutaneously on postnatal days 3-7 in a high (10 micrograms/100 g b.wt.) or a low dose (1 microgram/100 g b.wt.) to male Wistar rats. Control pups were untreated or saline injected. Behavioral observations in a complex maze after maturation indicated that neonatal administration of AVP increases exploratory behavior in this novel environment in a ...

Individual differences in behavioral responses to novelty and amphetamine self-administration in male and female rats.

Previous work has shown that individual differences in locomotor activity in an inescapable novel environment can predict acquisition of amphetamine self-administration. The current study examined whether individual differences in approach to novelty in a free choice test could also predict amphetamine self-administration. Further, the current study examined whether individual differences in ei...

Royal jelly can modulate behavioral and histomorphometrical disorders caused by Parkinson\'s disease in rats

Introduction: The aim of present study was to investigate the effects of royal jelly (RJ) on the number of Nissl-stained neurons in caudate putamen unit (CPU) and substantia nigra pars compacta (SNC) and the thickness of gray (TGm) and white matter (TWm) of cerebral and cerebellar cortex in male rats with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods: Seventy five Sprague-Dawley adults’ male ra...
